Hundreds attended a rally held in the grounds of Babylon’s Al-Mustaqbal University College, under the auspices of the Dean of the University’s Future College, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy.
In December 2017, then prime minister of Iraq Haider al-Abadi declared the final victory against ISIS after Iraqi forces drove the last remnants of the militants from the country, three years after the group apprehended around a third of Iraq’s territory. The United States, NATO, European Union, Russia and Iran were instrumental allies in their support for Iraq in defeating ISIS.
