Baghdad’s streets were filled with energy and excitement as the Baghdad Day Festival kicked off on 10th November, marking the start of a week-long celebration of the city’s rich cultural and artistic heritage. Organised by the Baghdad Municipality in cooperation with Marasem International Company and sponsored by Bayti Real Estate Company, the festival runs through 18th November, offering a variety of events aimed at showcasing Baghdad’s vibrant history and contemporary spirit.
The festival featured a range of activities, including art exhibitions, live performances, and cultural workshops, all designed to engage and inspire the people of Baghdad. One of the highlights of the festival was a series of races and athletic events, where runners and cyclists took to the streets to celebrate health and unity. These activities brought together people of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a sense of community pride and camaraderie.
In addition to the athletic events, Baghdad Day also featured local artisans, musicians, and performers, giving attendees a chance to experience the diverse talents of Baghdad’s residents. The festival served as a reminder of the city’s resilience and its commitment to promoting culture, creativity, and civic engagement.
The Baghdad Day Festival continues through 18th November, offering residents and visitors alike the opportunity to rediscover and celebrate the unique cultural fabric of Iraq’s capital.
