CMC Welcomes Delegation from Warith Foundation for Public Health

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Communications and Media Commission (CMC), Mr. Mahmoud Al-Rubaie, hosted a delegation from the Warith Foundation for Public Health, an institution affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The meeting focused on collaboration to enhance efforts in addressing intractable diseases, including cancer and hereditary blood disorders.

Mr. Al-Rubaie praised the CMC’s commitment to supporting health initiatives, particularly those aimed at improving care for vulnerable populations. He highlighted the commission’s strategy to raise awareness through road advertisements, text messaging campaigns, and television programmes, ensuring critical health information reaches affected individuals.

Reaffirming the CMC’s dedication to serving the public, Mr. Al-Rubaie expressed readiness to collaborate with licensed mobile phone operators and media outlets to amplify the impact of health awareness campaigns. He also proposed drafting a formal cooperation protocol between the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and the CMC, aiming to establish sustainable partnerships that benefit public health initiatives.

The Warith Foundation delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception and lauded the CMC’s proactive role in supporting humanitarian organisations. They noted the importance of such partnerships in advancing healthcare for those in need.
