The Deputy Director General of the Iraqi Railways Company, Mr. Maki Jaber Nasser, conducted an inspection tour on Tuesday to assess ongoing operations and progress within the Samawah Railways area.
During his visit, Mr. Nasser met with engineering, technical, and operational teams, emphasising the importance of enhancing the company’s efficiency. He highlighted the need for continued efforts to rehabilitate and maintain out-of-service locomotives, wagons, and trucks to boost transportation capacity.
This initiative aligns with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, and the continued oversight of the Director General of Railways, Jabbar Aliwi Al-Jubouri, who have been closely monitoring key developments in railway operations across Iraq.
The inspection reflects the government’s broader commitment to strengthening Iraq’s railway infrastructure and ensuring its readiness to support increasing transportation demands.
