Efforts to Modernise Oil Operations and Enhance Services

The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs  highlighted the need to adopt liquefied gas fuel over petrol or diesel due to its economic and environmental benefits. This statement was made during his visit to the General Company for Gas Filling and Services in Taji, accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Gas Affairs, Mr. Ezzat Saber.

Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani announced plans to increase the number of outlets and centres for adding liquefied gas systems to vehicles in Baghdad and other provinces. He noted that the General Company for Gas Filling and Services, a ministry formation, directly serves citizens by providing liquefied gas cylinders for vehicles, residential complexes, and other service sectors. He stressed the importance of adhering to occupational safety standards.

During a meeting with company officials, the Minister underscored the ministry’s commitment to developing oil companies’ operations and performance according to global standards and enhancing citizen services.

Deputy Minister Mr. Ezzat Saber stated that the visit is part of the Deputy Prime Minister’s ongoing efforts to support the gas sector. He confirmed that significant progress has been made on projects aimed at optimising the use of this national resource.

General Manager Mr. Anmar Ali Hussein highlighted the importance of the Minister’s visit and provided an overview of plans and projects for improving production and services. The visit included a tour of the company’s facilities, where the Minister observed liquefied gas cylinder filling operations, the preparation of specialised vehicles, and met with technical and engineering staff.
