Enhanced Safety Measures through Civil Defense Collaboration

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Transport, led by Ahmed Khalaf Banyan, Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department, held a crucial meeting with key officials, including Brigadier Rashid Thabit Rashid, Director General of Civil Defense in Rusafa. The meeting aimed to strengthen safety protocols and collaborative efforts between the Ministry and the Civil Defense Directorate.

The primary outcome was the decision to form specialised committees to oversee the warehouses of the General Company for Iraqi Railways in Rusafa. These committees will implement comprehensive preventive and safety measures in coordination with Civil Defense. Additionally, a permanent firefighting unit from the Rusafa Civil Defense Directorate will be established on Al-Dhalla Street.

Banyan highlighted the importance of activating Civil Defense’s role in safeguarding public property and lives, especially amid rising temperatures that heighten fire risks.
