A medical team at the Neurological Hospital, part of the Baghdad Rusafa Health Department, has successfully operated on a 27-year-old patient suffering from debilitating back pain and numbness in the lower extremities.
Dr. Samir Al-Dalfi, Director of the Neurological Hospital, stated that comprehensive medical examinations revealed the patient had multiple herniated discs. The surgical procedure involved a minimally invasive technique, with the back being accessed through an incision no larger than 3 cm. The herniated discs were fully removed, alleviating the patient’s condition.
Dr. Al-Dalfi credited the success of the operation to the exceptional collaboration of the hospital’s medical, nursing, and health support teams. The patient is now on the path to recovery, showcasing the hospital’s commitment to advanced medical care and innovative surgical solutions.
