Football Diplomacy: Visa Free Entry for Jordanian Fans

Ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Jordan, Iraq’s national football team is receiving significant support from both domestic and international fans. To ensure a strong presence from Jordanian supporters, Iraq has waived entry visas for fans attending the match. This gesture of goodwill highlights the importance of fostering unity and sportsmanship across borders, and it is expected to bring a lively atmosphere to the Basra International Stadium.

In preparation for the match, Iraq’s players participated in a morning training session at the stadium on Thursday, allowing them to familiarise themselves with the pitch before the big game. The technical conference, held earlier this week, confirmed that Iraq would wear their traditional all-white kits, with goalkeepers donning yellow. Meanwhile, Jordan will wear their red kits, with goalkeepers in black.

With the excitement building, both teams are poised for a thrilling encounter, and the atmosphere in Basra is sure to be electric with the support of both Iraqi and Jordanian fans in the stands.
