This visit was aimed at assessing the quality of medical services provided to patients and observing ongoing advancements, including a comprehensive review of the much-anticipated K Building, now in its final stages of rehabilitation.

The Minister was warmly welcomed by Dr. Wissam Al-Obaidi, Director of the Cardiac Surgery Center, who guided him through a detailed tour of the facility. The visit encompassed all departments, offering Dr. Al-Hasnawi the opportunity to engage directly with patients, visitors, and the medical and administrative teams. The discussions highlighted various observations and operational needs, with the Minister emphasizing his commitment to eliminating obstacles and facilitating the provision of necessary resources.

Dr. Al-Hasnawi stressed the importance of fostering an environment conducive to top-tier healthcare, ensuring that both patients and staff benefit from efficient and supportive conditions. “We must aim for an integrated and effective work atmosphere that guarantees exceptional health services for all who come through our doors,” he noted.

A key focus of the visit was the K Building, which is nearing the end of its rehabilitation. Once opened, this facility will significantly boost the center’s capacity and enhance its capabilities in cardiac surgery. Equipped with the latest medical technology and infrastructure designed to support complex surgical procedures, the K Building is set to cater to an increasing number of patients while aligning with modern advancements in cardiac care.

The forthcoming addition of the K Building is seen as a strategic step towards addressing the growing demands for specialized cardiac treatment, ensuring that more patients receive the critical care they need within the country.
