As part of the forum, Chinese and foreign media representatives, including those from IINA, have been invited to exchange ideas, share insights, and collaborate on enhancing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This week, the forum will also unveil the “Belt and Road Media Cooperation: Chengdu Initiative,” which is designed to strengthen exchanges, deepen integration, and promote mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Belt and Road Initiative, a cornerstone of China’s global development strategy, encompasses six urban development land corridors connected by road, rail, energy, and digital infrastructure, along with the Maritime Silk Road, which is focused on the development of ports. Through its participation in this forum, IINA is poised to play a key role in supporting and advancing these initiatives, contributing to the broader vision of enhanced connectivity and collaboration between Iraq, China, and other nations involved in the BRI.

This historic involvement not only enhances Iraq’s media presence on the global stage but also opens new avenues for cooperation that will benefit both nations for years to come.
