The 6th edition of the Iraq Finance Expo (IFEX) took place at the Baghdad International Fair between the 15-17 of July, sponsored by the Central Bank of Iraq. The aim of the fair is to encourage more Iraqi citizens to use personal banking and also show the future of virtual banking.
The event had many experts from the industry in attendance, including Iraqi Private Banks League’s CEO, Ali Tariq. As well as the speakers, the fair included partners from the banking sector, multinational firms, technology providers, infrastructure projects and service industry representatives. Those interested on banking and financial opportunities available within Iraq, there was a VIP conference, with new companies showing their latest advances and government bodies that could advice on procedures and regulations.
