Iraq and German Development Bank (KfW Bank) Sign Amendment to Loan Agreement for Financing Development Projects
At the Ministry of Finance headquarters, an amendment to the loan agreement provided by the German Development Bank, KfW, for several development projects was signed. The amendment was signed between the Minister of Finance, Ms. Taif Sami Mohammed, and the bank’s representative in Iraq. The new amendment stipulates an extension of the disbursement period for the financed projects as follows:
Extension of the loan agreement for the rehabilitation of electrical infrastructure in liberated areas (Phase III) in the amount of 140 million euros until January 15, 2027.
Extension of the loan agreement for the rehabilitation of infrastructure for roads, bridges, water, and sewage in the amount of 90 million euros until December 31, 2026.
