Iraq Partners with CETC for Infrastructure Growth

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met with a delegation from the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC Group), which specialises in energy, construction technology, and infrastructure. During the meeting, Al-Sudani highlighted the government’s economic strategy, which focuses on forming productive partnerships and enhancing the investment climate in Iraq. This strategy aims to attract global companies and investments, boost collaborations with the Iraqi private sector, and offer supportive sovereign guarantees.

The CETC Group delegation expressed a strong interest in contributing to Iraq’s infrastructure sector and participating in various developmental and economic projects. They emphasised the potential for expanded cooperation with both the public and private sectors in Iraq across a range of economic and investment fields.

This meeting marks a key step in diversifying Iraq’s economic partnerships, enhancing its infrastructure, and showcasing the rapid development of Sino-Iraqi relations. By attracting a prominent global company like CETC Group, Iraq can leverage advanced technologies and expertise to accelerate its developmental projects.
