Iraq, Saudi Arabia Strengthen Security and Diplomatic Cooperation

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ms. Safia Talib Al-Suhail, held a meeting with Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Daoud, Deputy Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The two officials discussed mechanisms to deepen cooperation between Baghdad and Riyadh in the fields of security and regional stability. Their talks also included an exchange of perspectives on matters of mutual interest, aimed at bolstering peace and development initiatives across the region.

Ambassador Al-Suhail reiterated Iraq’s commitment to fostering closer collaboration with Saudi Arabia, emphasising that continued joint efforts are vital to advancing the interests of both nations and supporting the aspirations of their peoples.

The meeting reflects a broader context of increasing diplomatic engagement between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, particularly in areas critical to maintaining regional security and promoting economic and political development.
