Iraq signs a collaboration agreement with Saudi Northern Region Cement

Iraq signed an agreement with the Saudi company Northern Region Cement to collaborate in the field of construction research and develop Iraq’s cement and building materials industry.

According to what was reported by the Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khalid Battal al Najm, to the Iraqi news agency “INA”, this agreement “is part of Iraq’s plans for the development of the cement and building materials industry”, the minister declared, adding that the agreement also provides for the creation of a research center for the development of building materials in the country.

According to what was reported by “INA”, the agreement was sponsored directly by the Iraq Development Fund.
