Iraq & UAE Parliaments Strengthen Ties with New Committee

The Iraqi Council of Representatives and the UAE Federal National Council met, in a significant step towards closer ties.

Mr. Muhsin Al-Mandlawi, Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, announced the formation of a friendship committee between Iraq and the UAE. The aim of this committee, is to develop partliamentary relations, exchange expertise in the legislative field and coordinate in regional as well as international paliamentary forums. 

This aims to facilitate smoother collaboration on matters of mutual interest, such as trade and security. By enhancing communication and coordinating efforts on regional challenges, the committee strives to contribute to greater stability in the area. Recently, Iraq, the UAE, Qatar, and Turkey signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Development Road project, indicating that the committee is expected to play a significant role in future international initiatives.
