The Iraqi Fashion House is set to resume its activities with a spectacular event in Nineveh, under the direction of Professor Dr. Fadhel Muhammad Hussein, Director General and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities. The highly anticipated show will take place on the 10th of December 2024 at the University of Mosul Theatre.
This event marks a significant step in the Fashion House’s mission to highlight the artistic richness of Iraq’s cultural heritage. The initiative aligns with the Ministry’s objectives to showcase the aesthetic beauty of traditional fashion inspired by the ancient civilisations of Mesopotamia. Through intricate designs, vivid colours, and timeless decorations, these pieces bring the splendour of Iraq’s history to life.
Dr. Fadhel emphasised the importance of spreading Iraq’s cultural and historical message to both local and international audiences. He noted that the unique designs and accessories curated by the Fashion House reflect not only the civilisational achievements of Iraq but also its social and cultural essence.
The event in Nineveh is the first in a series of planned shows across various governorates, aiming to rekindle pride in Iraq’s rich traditions and artistic innovations. By bridging the past and present through fashion, the initiative aspires to promote an authentic cultural identity that resonates with diverse audiences worldwide.
