On Thursday, March 4th, MP Mohammed Siddiq Mohammed, Chairman of the Iraqi-Japanese Friendship Committee and member of the Foreign Relations Committee, met with Mr. Yokota Kenji, the new Chargé d’Affaires of the Japanese Embassy, at the embassy headquarters in Baghdad.
The discussions focused on enhancing Iraq-Japan relations and the vital role of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee in fostering cooperation between the two nations. MP Mohammed Siddiq highlighted the committee’s initiatives and emphasised the importance of exchanging experiences through mutual visits, which could further strengthen diplomatic and economic collaboration.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties and exploring new opportunities for cooperation, reflecting the longstanding friendship between Iraq and Japan.
