Iraqi Red Crescent to Aid Lebanese Red Cross

On Sunday, Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met with Mr. Yassin Al-Maamouri, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, to discuss critical humanitarian initiatives. The meeting centred on enhancing cooperation with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, alongside the Lebanese Red Cross and various relief organisations. This collaboration aims to facilitate the efficient delivery of aid and essential relief materials to Lebanese citizens impacted by the ongoing conflict in the region.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasised the significance of adhering to established directives to ensure rapid and effective coordination in delivering humanitarian assistance. He highlighted the need for a unified approach to support the Lebanese people during this challenging period.

The Prime Minister’s commitment to swift action reflects Iraq’s solidarity with its Lebanese counterparts, reinforcing the importance of regional cooperation in addressing humanitarian crises.
