Iraq’s Oil Sector Boosted by Successful Completion of 15 Wells in October

The Iraqi Drilling Company successfully completed the drilling and reclamation of 15 oil wells in October, marking significant progress in its operational initiatives across various oil fields in Iraq. This achievement aligns with the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul-Ghani, as part of a broader strategy to bolster the nation’s oil production capacity.

Engineer Kazem Habash Khalif, Deputy Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, highlighted that the company’s technical and engineering teams managed to drill four new oil wells and reclaim 11 others, spanning multiple oil fields throughout the country. These efforts reflect the company’s dedication to increasing output while meeting project deadlines and adhering to planned timelines.

Khalif emphasised that the company remains committed to executing its strategic plans aimed at strengthening Iraq’s oil sector. This includes ongoing collaboration with both national and international oil companies to support the industry’s development and sustainability.

The accomplishment underscores the Iraqi Drilling Company’s pivotal role in advancing the nation’s energy infrastructure and securing a robust oil output, contributing to Iraq’s economic growth and energy stability.
