The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities actively participated in the 16th Annual Creativity Festival at Al-Mansour University College, a three-day event that brought together cultural, artistic, and academic institutions to celebrate intellectual and creative achievements.
The festival, sponsored by the Iraqi Libraries and Information Association, featured a prestigious scientific book exhibition, with various departments from the Ministry of Culture making significant contributions.
A highlight of the Ministry’s participation was the Children’s Culture House, which displayed an exclusive collection of its acclaimed publications. Among the showcased works were the popular children’s magazines Al-Mizmar and Al-Mazmar, as well as an engaging story series that continues to attract young readers annually.
The General Directorate of Cultural Affairs also made a strong impression, presenting over 150 titles spanning literature, art, culture, and intellectual thought. Their contribution included a diverse array of periodicals and magazines, meeting the growing demand for cultural publications among students and the wider reading community.
Adding to the rich literary presence, Al-Ma’mun House for Translation and Publishing exhibited over 150 translated works, featuring recent and significant publications across literature, art, scientific studies, and cultural discourse. The institution also showcased periodicals in Arabic, French, and English, reinforcing its role in cross-cultural dialogue and knowledge dissemination.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore Iraqi cultural publications and engage with thought-provoking discussions in scientific seminars, cultural events, and artistic performances. The event also featured a handicraft bazaar and a heritage exhibition, offering visitors a glimpse into Iraq’s traditional craftsmanship and artistic heritage.
