In line with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities’ ongoing commitment to promoting women’s essential role in society, a Women’s Club Cup Championship (six-a-side) was recently held in the tourist city of Habbaniyah, in cooperation with the Iraqi Football Association. This event was followed by an educational seminar aimed at highlighting the contributions of role model women.
Overseen by Mr. Moaid Suleiman Al-Mushawah, General Manager of the General Company for the Tourist City, the activities focused on raising awareness of the significant impact women have on elevating Iraqi society, particularly those who serve as role models.
The seminar, titled “The Role Model Woman in Society,” was led by Mr. Mohammed Ghaleb, who emphasised the ethical and behavioural qualities of women, highlighting their vital role within families and the broader community. He noted the Ministry of Culture’s recognition of women as key contributors to Iraqi culture, praising their influence in driving positive change and supporting societal progress.
These activities reinforce the ministry’s dedication to empowering women and recognising their leadership and contributions to Iraq’s cultural and social development.
