National Team Prepares for Key Fixtures in Basra

The Iraqi national football team is intensifying its preparations for upcoming matches with an evening training session in Basra. On Sunday, 16 players took to the training grounds at the Sports City, including familiar names like Jalal Hassan, Fahd Talib, and Ayman Hussein. The session is part of their ongoing training camp aimed at enhancing team cohesion and performance ahead of important international fixtures.

The national team’s training efforts will soon be bolstered by additional key players. Mohammed Al-Taie, Mirkhas Doski, and Ahmed Yassin are expected to join the squad in the coming days, while the arrival of Ali Jassim, a professional with Italian club Como, further strengthens the team. On Tuesday, two more stars, Ali Al-Hammadi from Ipswich Town and Muntadher Majid from Hammarby, will complete the squad, bringing a wealth of international experience.

The training camp in Basra marks a critical phase for the national team as they prepare for upcoming competitions. With the squad beginning to come together, anticipation is building for the team’s performance in the near future.
