Two significant infrastructure projects have been inaugurated in Baghdad, marking a major step towards improving the city’s traffic flow and aesthetic development. These initiatives are part of the ongoing efforts to enhance Baghdad’s infrastructure and make the capital a more efficient and attractive place for its residents.
Al-Rashid Camp–Zafaraniyah Intersection Project
This project features a 900-metre overpass and a 430-metre underpass, enhancing traffic flow between key districts. It is the ninth project in the first phase of Baghdad’s congestion relief initiative, which includes 16 projects overall.Stone Lining of Tigris Riverbank Along Sindbad Road
Spanning 2.1 km, this project, executed by the Ministry of Water Resources, revitalises a vital area closed for decades, reflecting efforts to preserve Baghdad’s aesthetic and functionality.
These projects highlight Baghdad’s dedication to urban development, blending modern engineering with sustainable planning. Their successful completion will not only tackle traffic and environmental issues but also enhance the city’s livability and appeal.
