In line with the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Engineer Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, the Oil Pipeline Company is engaged in discussions with Iraqi Ports to enhance cooperation in developing the Ministry of Oil’s docks.
Key topics discussed included the expansion of capacity and the enhancement of ship, vessel, and tanker reception capabilities at Khor Al-Zubair Port. Both parties reviewed the rehabilitation and development project for docks 2, 3, and 4, addressing existing challenges and devising solutions for their resolution.
The collaboration emphasises the importance of continued collaborative efforts to develop oil dock infrastructure, which will play a crucial role in supplying gas and fuel to power plants and bolstering the national economy. The strategic enhancement of these facilities will serve the long-term interests of Iraq, ensuring the smooth operation of its oil and maritime transport sectors.
