Railway Restoration in Kirkuk

Engineer Jabbar Aliwi Al-Jubouri, the Director General of Railways in Iraq, conducted an inspection visit to Kirkuk station today. He met with the working staff to assess ongoing operations and future developments.

Several technical staff members attended this meeting, during which Al-Jubouri discussed key technical matters, including future railway routes passing through Kirkuk Governorate and the follow-up of the Kirkuk-Baghdad line. He also highlighted the importance of coordination with the governorate administration to address challenges halting the progress of restoring the railway line.

This visit reflects the railway administration’s commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure and ensuring efficient railway connectivity in the region. The discussions aimed to allow for smoother operations and contribute to the revival of key railway links
