The Iraqi Ministry of Planning has launched a volunteer initiative to provide essential services to schools in the outskirts of Baghdad. The project represents a commitment to fostering education and addressing humanitarian needs.
The Volunteer Work Committee at the Ministry took the lead in assisting two schools in the Abu Ghraib district. Mr. Ali Anad, the committee’s head, highlighted the services provided during the campaign. “Our efforts included repairing broken windows, maintaining health and electrical facilities, and creating a more conducive environment for students to pursue their studies,” Anad stated.
In addition to infrastructure repairs, the initiative extended its support to students by distributing in-kind gifts to those in need. “This effort is part of the ministry’s commitment to voluntary work and its dedication to improving the living and educational conditions of all segments of Iraqi society,” Anad noted.
The campaign is the first in a series of planned initiatives by the Ministry of Planning. According to Anad, the ministry aims to continue its contributions across various sectors, reflecting its comprehensive approach to development that encompasses education, infrastructure, and humanitarian support.
This effort shows the Ministry of Planning’s recognition of education as a cornerstone for societal progress. By addressing the needs of schools and students, the ministry is not only improving immediate conditions but also investing in the future of Iraq’s younger generation.
