Volunteers Provide Free Iftar Meals in Adhamiyah for Ramadan

Volunteers and residents of Adhamiyah have launched a charitable campaign to provide Iftar meals for fasting individuals, reinforcing social solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.

Volunteers and organisers upholding quality standards while ensuring timely meal distribution.

Iftar tables were set up near the shrine of Imam Abu Hanifa al-Nu’man, drawing large numbers of fasting individuals. The meals—comprising dates, yogurt, and traditional dishes—were prepared and distributed by dedicated volunteer teams.

Supported by donors and local residents, the initiative will continue throughout Ramadan, offering meals to underprivileged families and passersby. Organisers highlight that the campaign embodies the values of compassion and cooperation, with the growing turnout emphasising the importance of such efforts in assisting those in need.

Every year, similar initiatives take place across Baghdad, with residents and volunteers contributing to communal Iftar gatherings, strengthening the spirit of generosity that defines Ramadan, and alleviating burderns for those in need.
